Spring has Sprung

All weekend it’s been raining, pouring (and the old man was definitely snoring, sorry Dan). While this means I didn’t spend much time relaxing on the porch with a cold shandy, gardening or participating in the requisite Easter egg hunts-it did mean that I had plenty of time for shopping and sartorial inspiration.

My local Anthropologie recently moved to a different, and decidedly more hectic location so I don’t find myself spending a leisurely Saturday afternoon there as often. I’m also not as fond of the space itself. You can’t walk in the door and take in the immense loveliness of it all as easily, and the windows aren’t as beautifully styled.

Even though it was gray and stormy outside, there was plenty of bright color to be had at Athro and my other mall favorite, J.Crew:

Anthropologie Paper Flower

Beautiful bloom at Anthropologie. I love the detail that goes into their sets.

Lengthening Rays Skirt-Anthropologie

I'm not really a huge fan of long skirts, but this bright pink beauty had me wondering.

Here it is in all it’s glory: Lengthening Rays Skirt

San Pedro Pencil Skirt-Anthropologie

I love love love this pencil skirt (and the giant flowers behind it). The picture doesn't do it justice, it's actually a very vibrant turquoise that is everywhere this spring. I tried on a mustard yellow version, but like so many of Anthro's skirts and dresses the lining seemed to be 2x smaller than the skirt. What's up with that?

Girls' Flower Snap Clip-J.Crew

Fluffy, light and airy-these flower pins really jumped out at me. I'm also usually not a pink person, but i was so drawn to pink all day.
